Sometime in the second half of August 1888, Lesja Ukrainka with her mother and Komarov family traveled by boat from Odessa to Ak-Kerman. [Bilgorod-Dnistrovsky] and inspected the fortress. Impressions of the trip were reflected in her poetries "Next, away from the stuffy city!", "Oh, the high sun in the clear sky has become…", "Even the sun in the sea is sitting…", "End of trip…"
