The publication of letters by Lesja Ukrainka is now continued. Today available next 5 letters of 1912.
"Stone lord" seemed to me the first real drama out of my pen, objective, concentrated, not flooded lyrics, completely new against my usual manner. (Oct 18, 1912. To sister Olga)
25 Mar 2017 New translation
We continue publishing the article by Maurice Vernes "Gospel" translated by Lesja Ukrainka (1895). Today – section "The Gospel of the st. Matthew".
The author of the first Gospel is writer dogmatic and systematic, that remade works his two predecessors to definitely religious studies.

In the "Studies" section we continue publishing a book R. Zadesnjansky "Lesja Ukrainka creativity" (1965). Today – the section "Heroisation of struggle and blood."
Already here we see a further deepening of the idea of necessity and attractiveness struggle. Along with fighting spirit poetess shows more critical attitude to the socialist doctrines.

We continue publishing the article by Maurice Vernes "Gospel" translated by Lesja Ukrainka (1895). Today – section "The Gospel by St. Luka."
In St. Luka there is nothing like manner, when understood by this logical evolution, based on the documents. It only gives a set of facts and doctrines designed for use pious community.

We distinguish three sections in it, but they can be reduced to two, uniting together the first two. We then have writing historical and dogmatic.

This worldview slaves, "humiliated and insulted" had been weighed so heavily upon the young girl poetess, that prevented her even see and admire the beauty of the sea.

But for her life our criticism was not able to assess the enormous importance of her work and her best works were (and unfortunately – for many stayed) unclear.
