There is no reason to say (as some critics say) about the slow development of Lesja's lyrics in her early years, just because each additional poetic thing is much higher, clearly higher than the previous one.

I'm was busy, incidentally, a polemic against Efremov's article in "Kyiv past" where he listed me as "harmful antisocial" elements because I supposedly pull hand for decadents and symbolists. (Jan 27 1903, to M.V. Kryvynjuk)

July and August Lesja lived at Zelenyj Gaj. Somewhere at the beginning of September all moved to Kyiv.

The article by M. Zharkikh "The English translation of "Forest Song" (2013) is published.
Translation by P. Candy gives for English-speaking reader a general true image of the Lesja Ukrainka's drama, and for us it could be useful as a material for reverse engineering of text, back translation and parsing text.

I think that along the way in S. K. weakening organs of sense, Lesja's mental anguish had been sharpen and reached the point to which they could be reached, so at decisive moment could not physically able to increase them.

Lesja Ukrainka's creativity reached far ahead and serving Ukrainian nation as a whole, it was, in the words of Academician Mikhail Hrushevsky "communicated with timeless feelings of humanity."

These last lines of her verse reveals latest Lesja Ukrainka's poetic fairytale giant image, the image of her native land, to which she gave all her energy.
